Die Absenderin stammt selbst nicht aus Queenstown, sondern lebt etwa 1.000 km nördlich in Kaikohe. Das ist eine kleine Stadt von ca. 4.000 Einwohnern, die aber weite Teile des Umlandes versorgt. Im Laufe der Geschichte wurden die Einwohner von einem M?oristamm überfallen. Die Überlebenden verbrachten ihre Zeit in den Hainen des Kohekohe-Baumes auf einem Hügel.
