Ich habe noch einige Postkarten rumschwirren, die gescannt werden müssen. Diese Karte erreichte mich bereits Ende Dezember 2006 und zeigt die Statue von Zar Alexander II. sowie den Dom von Helsinki.

Der Dom entstand zwischen 1830 und 1852, als Carl Ludwig Engel Archtitekt war. Er sollte für Helsinki ein repräsentatives Zentrum erschaffen. Vor dem Dom steht die Statue von Zar Alexander II. Die Statue wurde 13 Jahre nach dem Tod Alexanders von Walter Runeberg errichtet. Auf den Seiten der finnischen Wikipedia stehen mehr Informationen. Aber mein Finnisch ... ;-)

Ich bin jetzt auch bei postcrossing und habe schon einige verschickt. Aufgefallen ist mir, das ich die meisten Karten nach Finnland versandt habe. Sicherlich nur Zufall.
